Know What's Out There for Custom Lego

All, Just so you know there is a wide range of custom figures out there. There are plenty of people producing machine printed customs (including Green Lantern) that are the same quality as Lego. Machine printed customs will run you between $20 and $40.
I would not buy any custom figure that does not write 'machine printed' on it. Most sellers have the good sense to write 'stickers', 'decals', or 'machine printed' so people know what they are getting. If you buy a figure that says stickers (like this one does) you should know you are getting a product for display only, and has little or no play value before being ruined. If the description does not say, and many others don't, I would always assume the worst.
[Note: still others will sell figures made by combining parts of official figures (such as putting a official Lego skull on a official Lego leather jacket and calling it a 'ghost rider custom') I really don't consider these figures customs, and you can get the parts individually elsewhere for much cheaper.]
AND just so you know, the official version of the Green Lantern figure will run you about $200.00 because Lego thought it was a good idea to only produce @ 1,000 of them and never sold them to the public. I fully support customizers because I think what Lego is doing here is awful, since they know full well that with such a low print run, most fans will never get these figures, and those that do will pay dearly.

I received this item and the face design looks a bit faded so I'm just hoping it lasts enough for my son to enjoy it.
