4Search and Enjoy
By J. Sherman
Here to protect the innocent from the scum of the Lego Universe is the Galaxy Patrol minifigure. "Luiz", as he's called according to the tag on his space suit, includes a ray gun, body armor, helmet and dual-sided head. Though a clear visor on the helmet wouldn't have hurt, and the armor slightly impedes the arms, the insignia on the sides is an awesome tribute to the spacemen of the past and the body is nicely decorated.

This toy is recommended for ages 5+.

5Its time to Lock and Load with a Lego space marine
By barbecue17
This was the first figure I tracked down from series 7. He's referred to as "Galaxy Patrol" but I'm calling him a space marine. Decked out in his power armor and wielding a pretty decently sized gun, the Lego space marine is prepared to fight off any alien invasions your Lego city might incur. A standard archetype in science fiction, the concept of a space marine can be found as far back as 1932 in the work of Bob Olsen, an American science fiction writer. So is this recruit on his way to a career or is he a washout? Here's some thoughts:

Positives:
*The minifigure is detailed! Nice design on the front of his legs and torso. He even has a little name tag that either says Luiz or Wiz. The power armor piece has the traditional Lego space emblem on each shoulder. Nice touch!

*The armor is bulky and has studs on the front and back, allowing for a little bit of customization. Throw some little round translucent pieces on to function as lights of some sort, or attach a little flat 1x1 with a claw to hold his weapon. The helmet has a cool feature that lets the marine hold his helmet.

*The head is awesome and has two faces. Not only is the space marine grizzled and rough looking with manly stubble, one side has a mechanical eye piece of some kind while the other side has the appearance of having a clear red visor over it, which looks really cool while in the helmet.

*Once again, love that these guys come with stands!

Negatives:
*It sounds bad, but I don't really have any negative thoughts on this. A simple, concept executed perfectly!

Conclusion:
This is such a fun figure that I can't imagine anyone who loves sci-fi, Lego, or just guys in armor with huge guns not enjoying it. I really am tempted to army build these guys, and I really don't army build.

Why I gave this 5 stars for educational value: As a space marine, this Lego man surely knows the truth of the phrase "in space, no one can hear you scream." Why is that? Because outer space is a vacuum! Use this figure to start a great conversation with your child about vacuums today!

5Lego minifigure
By Mrs Pete
My grandson was so happy to get the figure, thats all I cared about. I was less han enthusiastic about paying $5 shipping for something that could have been mailed for 44 cents, but I guess it was worth it.
